Conclusion

It's All About Fun!“In the early stages of athletic development (6-13 years of age), deliberate play must dominate sport/athletic exposures. Rigorous play over practice early in life is more effective because this is a period of discovery. Young athletes are forming attitudes (likes/dislikes) toward sports, fitness, and unstructured play.”

If you aren't having fun, then what's the point? Sports should be something you enjoy, not a task.

While it's possible for anyone to be a successful athlete, certain components such as disadvantageous genes and backgrounds may make it more challenging and time consuming.

Anyone can be successful as long as they think that they can be. With the right mind set, you can be the athlete of your dreams. It all has to do with your perception of yourself.

A positive attitude cannot only help you in competative play, but it also benefits your overall self esteem. This leads to not only a healthy mind, but a healthy body.

What's Your Definition of Success? If you have a pessimistic view on your progress as an athlete, you are less likely to reach your goals and progress. Rather, if you are positive and set realistic goals, you are more likely to reach your goals, be successful (whatever that means to you), and most importantly, enjoy the journey.
